But First

I want to apologize. I took an impromptu, unannounced hiatus last month. In May, I ended up publishing only one of the promised chapters. I don't want to turn this into some pity party, so I'll keep my explanation brief. My day job has recently become more demanding, leaving little time for writing. At the same time, I was feeling disheartened. I, like so many other indie writers, have been struggling to gain an audience. It left me feeling like I shouldn't bother at all.

Of course, not writing won't help, and the sunk-cost fallacy has set in, so I can't give up. Starting in June, I will scale back and move to a bi-weekly schedule. This should help me get the chapters out on time, and keep the burnout at bay.
